When it comes to performance the Legend VII trumps the Legend VI in every way possible. Nike have given us the softest kangaroo leather that I've ever experienced on a football boot. The touch you get on the ball is fantastic. Unlike the Legend VI it's not a overly bulky sloppy feel on the ball but a soft padded true leather feel that also offers you insane comfort through out the match. These are also one of the most responsive leather boots I've ever worn. This is down to Nike's internal support cage that runs through the fore foot area of the boot just under the Kangaroo leather but divided from it using a thin layer of this soft mesh-like material. Another factor that helps the responsiveness is the Hyperstability sole plate used on this boot. It's the thinnest sole plate seen on any Tiempo but still has enough rigidness to it to avoid stud pressure which was a common issue on the previous Tiempo lines. The mid foot area is made up of Nike's Flyknit material, the first time we've ever seen this on a Tiempo. To be honest I feel like Nike could have went with a regular synthetic material for this and it would still feel the same, the Flyknit just isn't that noticeable at all. Yet another new addition to the Tiempo is it's now a one piece construction with the addition of a full Flyknit tongue that runs right the way through to the toe box area. This is one of my favourite additions as it makes the boot more comfortable and wraps your foot really nicely. There's also the addition of Flywire cables first three lace holes to hold your foot tightly in place all game.
