Nike Premier

Description

On a tight budget but still looking for a top end pair of boots? Then the Nike Premier is the boot for you. I find it hard to believe that Nike is only charging a retail price of €100 for this line of boot because it's actually really good and definitely on par with the other top end boots on the market, it's 100% your best option at it's price point also. This boot is often over looked by consumers as Nike don't really focus any advertising on this boot. They don't include it in any of their colourway packs and don't endorse any of the Nike athletes to wear it on field. Another reason it's often over looked is because many people who come across this boot think it's not a top end model or think it's low quality. This is not the case at all. Read on to see why!

As I said in the description section of the review the Nike Premier far from low quality and is definitely up to scratch as far as top end boots from Nike go. The Premier comes with a kangaroo leather upper which is fantastic in regards to the retail price. The kangaroo leather covers most of the upper and transitions to a synthetic calf skin leather to cover up the internal heel counter that this shoe has. I'd go as far to say that this boot is the best value for money leather boot on the market and boots like this make me wonder why people buy take down models. The tongue is made up of a single strip of leather backed up by a synthetic suede material. It's a two piece construction and has a single lace hole setup. The boot has a super premium feel on feet because of it's super soft suede heel liner that has a decent amount of padding but could have more in my opinion. The insole is fully removable and is different from Nike's other top end models. Its has these little grooves running across the top of the boot which make for extra grip and comfort. I find this insole to be my favourite from the Nike brand.

The sole plate and stud pattern is where the €100 retail price comes into play. The sole plate can feel quite stiff sometimes in my opinion. The studs are all chronicle apart from one support stud in the middle so nothing to special there but it definitely gets the job done and works quite well for this style of boot.

In conclusion the Nike Premier is a great value for money leather boot if that's what your after but if you can justify the price I would recommend the Nike Tiempo Legend VII. I would definitely recommend this boot and I would like to see Nike give it a bit more love advertising wise.
