Top 10 World Cup 2018 Jerseys

No. 10  Germany Home

I know a lot of people will disagree with me as I've only put this tenth on my list. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this jersey and the throwback vibe it gives off. Adidas have gone traditional with their usual three stripes in black accent against the white primary colour of the jersey which I love and of course the standout retro design running through the chest area of the jersey that's a throwback to the 1990 World Cup kit with the exception of the tri-colours that have been traded for a more modern black fade. I can't say I'm too keen on the World Cup Winners badge in the middle of the chest design but I guess that's all part of being world champions.

No. 9  Australia Away

Yet again Nike have provided the Socceroos with a stunning but simple away kit. Three different shades of green make up simple but eye catching kit. You've got slightly lighter green stripes running from corner to corner on the front side of the jersey and the usual darker green that Nike have associated Australia with for quite some time now. We see that lighter green accent on the back side of the jersey running from the top of the back to the neck. The Australia star is printed with a nice premium feeling rubber material at the top of this green piece at the back.

No. 8  France Away

I was torn on whether to pick this kit or the Portuguese away kit that features the same plain white primary colour but in the end I chose this one as I prefer the blue and red accents as opposed to the green and red ones. This is the first time we've seen Nike accent colours into jerseys like this. I would describe it as a sprinkle design almost. As silly as it sounds it makes for a great design while keeping things simple. Nike have put the French tri-colour at the back of the jersey which is Nike's signature for this tournament on every jersey in different ways which looks really nice on this occasion.

No. 7  England Away

This is the first England kit that I've actually liked for many years now, although in my opinion they've only got better following England's switch to Nike. This is also the first kit on the list that we can clearly see the introduction of Nike's new 'VaporKnit' technology on both arms of the jersey in a slightly darker red that's the main accent colour of this jersey. We see this red accent again through the mid-rim of the jersey making up the red English cross seen on the national flag. The subtlety from Nike to sneak this into the jersey is the main reason this jersey makes my list.

No. 6  Korea Republic Away

No. 6  Korea Republic Away

Two words came to mind when I first saw this jersey, simple and modern. That's because of yet another new way of accenting from Nike being the red and blue of the Korea Republic flowing through the mid-rim together that look amazing against the plain white primary colour of the jersey. The three colours on the jersey make up the three colours on the Korea Republic national flag which Nike have done with many of their away kits recently including the French away kit previously on the list.

No. 5  Germany Away

Adidas have actually released two versions of this German kit. The regular one seen to the left and a knitted version that for some reason retails for €220, so I'm sticking to this one for now. Adidas have added their leaf like design that runs through the entire jersey that we've previously seen on jerseys such as the 2016/17 Man United third kit, and I feel like it looks great on this lovely green number from Adidas. Their main accent colour for this jersey is white which was to be expected for the Adidas branding seen and for the three stripes, but I also love the fact they made the German crest white also as it gives it a cleaner look.

No. 4  Saudi Arabia Away

Saudi Arabia aren't the most well known national team in the world but I'm nearly certain that this simple away strip from Nike will change that as the Falcons walk out onto the pitch for the first time on opening day when they face the host nation Russia. It contains Nike's signature strip is at the back of this jersey in the accent white. Although we might not see this jersey for all that long in Russia this summer, let's hope they do it justice with some good performances for the duration of their stay in Russia this summer.

No. 3  Australia Home

Nike bring back their usual dark-ish yellow as the primary colour for the Socceroos 2018 home jersey as they try to impress at their fifth World Cup. Nike have put a very Aussie-like design on the sleeves of this jersey using that dark green we saw on the away strip as the accent colour. This is also used for the collar of the jersey, probably my favourite collar Nike provide as it has a slightly lowered neck line compared to the other collars on the market. I managed to pick myself up the fan version of this jersey and have since wore it constantly as the shirt scores high in wear ability in my opinion. Let's hope the Socceroos can get out of a tough group in this stunning kit.

No. 2  Korea Republic Home

Nike continue their plain and simple look we've seen on many kits so far with the Korea Republic home shirt for the 2018 World Cup. The red they used as the primary colour of this jersey reminds me of a slightly faded version of the 'hyperpunch' colour used on the very first Superfly IV from nike that looks great on both products. My favourite detail to this jersey is the Taeguk from the Korean Republic flag found on the signature Nike strip on the back of the jersey. Although this jersey is simple, Korea's group certainly isn't so let's hope this kit can pull them through.

No. 1  Nigeria Home

Here we are at the number one spot of the list and I'm sure you were guessing all the way through what it was going to inevitably be. Of course it's the Nigeria home kit that everyone knows, loves and certainly didn't hold back on buying as this jersey was sold out within the first two weeks of going live to the public at the Nike event in London two months ago. Probably the only jersey Nike didn't just go plain simple on, the design used on the jersey is meant to be that of an eagle, the country's national animal. It was made to represent the feathers of the mighty bird and this design runs throughout the entire collection of Nigeria apparel made for the team to wear during the Russia 2018 World Cup.
